April 17, 2014 From Ubuntu Kylin

The Sogou Chinese Input Method for Linux community V1.0, developed by Ubuntu Kylin Team and Sogou Company, is finally released ! This new Input method are featured with some amazing functions, such as intelligent Pinyin, Auto Matching and Changeble Skin. Not only Ubuntu / Ubuntu Kylin fans, but all Linux users can download and install it from homepage of Sogou company ( http://pinyin.sogou.com/linux/ ). For Ubuntu Kylin 14.04 users, it can be directly installed through Ubuntu Kylin Software Center which is shipped with Ubuntu Kylin 14.04 distribution.
 

Sogou Chinese Input Method for Linux community was started at December 2013. More than ten engineers, product managers and QA engineers from Sogou and Ubuntu Kylin  have worked together for five months. Eventually, it is released in time. The community version is based on input framework of Fcitx, Qimpanel and Sogo input engine. The community version can be freely used by all personal users for all Linux distributions.
