In 1st November, a brand new desktop called UKUI developed by Ubuntu Kylin Team comes to Debian official library, after went into Ubuntu warehouse. It becomes the first desktop environment that mainly developed by Chinese team as well as comes to the two major international mainstream community. A whole new desktop environment is provided to Debian/Ubuntu users from the entire world.

Beijing 20th October 2017: Ubuntu Kylin Team releases Ubuntu Kylin 17.10 opensource operating system(version code: Artful Aardvark) officially, updating system kernel, desktop environment, featured applications and cooperating software. In the mean time, opensource versions of Ubuntu 17.10/ Lubuntu 17.10 /Ubuntu Mate 17.10 and so on are releasing today.

28th September, Ubuntu Kylin/ Ubuntu released 17.10 Final Beta as a short-term supported version, code Artful Aardvark. Different from former editions, Ubuntu Kylin 17.10 Final Beta only has the brand new light-weight desktop environment UKUI. In the mean time, fixed several local bugs. More new functions and application will demonstrate in official version in October. Please stay tuned.
